Most Expensive Cars In The World

World's Most Expensive Cars

What is the most expensive car in the world? The 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was sold for $8,700,000 in 1987. However, that car and many alike will not be included in this list because it is not available on the market today. It is hard to imagine someone would actually spend 8 million dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these supercars in your garage. Here are the 10 most expensive production cars on the market.

However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero which exceed 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

The most ugly cars in the world

Top 1

The Reliant Robin - or "Robin Reliant" as some backward-thinking people call it. This mirth-inducing novelty was also known as "The Plastic Pig" - I'd rather have a bag of pork scratchings thanks. (oh, and the Regal was even worse!)

Top 2

Going for a ride in one of these has all the appeal of going on a dinner date with Joseph Stalin. Worse still, if you parked up against a wall you couldn't get out of the thing.

Top 3

The family in this picture look horrified as their industrial-strength pager bags have just blown off revealing their true identities. Austin Healey didn't realise that when you create a car with lights this silly they are supposed to be attached to a pop-up mechanism so that they remain hidden during daylight.

Top 4

Thanks to its stalk-like mirrors, mammoth glasshouse and the crazy way its bonnet met the windscreen, the Multipla looked like it had been designed by a four-year old.

Top 5

This used to be the preferred transport for teachers, eco-warriors, weird-beards and people who don't wash their hair. The 2Cv was modelled on a boating accident that occurred in Cherbourg in 1923.

This vehicle was originally intended as a conveyance for Batman's grandmother - however she refused to go near the thing and decided instead to ride round Gotham City on a Llama. Or maybe not.

Top 8

Well hats off to Honda for saving the planet - but was it really necessary to board up the rear wheels in order to get an extra 0.5 mpg?

Plucked out of a big bag of 1970s fail, the Marcos Mantis 2+2 was launched in an era when the public would buy inordinate amounts of stupid stuff including space-hoppers, spangles, K-tel records, slinky springs, and Sanyo music centres. Unfortunately for Marcos, the public drew the line at shelling out for the Mantis 2+2, who's design, it appears, was sketched out whilst gyrating in a roller-disco to the music of Showaddywaddy, and subsequently the company suffered a financial collapse.

When the Habitat designer submitted his latest teapot design to Ford as an April fool's joke, little did he know that by an administrative error it would end up on the road.
